Presentation Guidelines

Oral Presentation

Each paper is allocated 15 minutes in total. Authors should ensure that their presentation will not exceed 12 minutes, thereby allowing at least 3 minutes for Q&A and transition between speakers.

Presentations should preferably be uploaded to the PC (MS Windows OS) in the session room in advance. Alternatively, you can use your own laptop. A HDMI connection will be available in each lecture room; you must bring your own adaptor if your laptop does not have an HDMI port. It is recommended to test the presentation materials, e.g. video and audio, as well as your laptop in advance of the session to ensure compatibility. It is recommended that you store your presentation material on a USB stick as a backup, even if you plan to use your own laptop.

Presenters are requested to be present in the room at least 10 minutes before the start of their session to introduce themselves to the session chair.

Failing to present your paper may lead to marking no-show or absence of the author.

Poster Presentation

Authors need to be situated with their posters during the entire allocated session and be available to discuss their paper with attendees. For each paper, poster boards of dimensions 180 cm (width) x 120 cm (height) will be provided. This is suitable for a maximum of two A0 size posters in portrait orientation or a single A0 size poster in landscape orientation. Please setup your poster at the appropriate location according to the poster ID before your session starts and remove it after your session ends.

Failing to present your poster may lead to marking no-show or absence of the author.

Demos Sessions

Authors of demo papers need to be situated at allocated demo stations to present their demonstration and answer questions from attendees.

All demo stations will be provided with a table of size 2m (length) and 1m (width), a poster board of dimensions 180 cm (width) x 120 cm (height), internet access (conference Wi-Fi only), and a power outlet (230V 50Hz with Australian power plug). Demonstrators are required to bring their own computing equipment and any additional hardware needed for the demonstration. A display monitor can be made available for each demo station on request. The total demonstration space (inclusive of table and poster board) will be 2m x 2m. If a larger space is required, please contact the Demo chairs with alternative requirements.

All demos must be dismantled after the demo session.

Failing to present your demonstration may lead to marking no-show or absence of the author.

Please see the allocated timeslots in the Program at a Glance.
